Shown below is my last project for 2014. It is my first wholecloth project. Using one of my original applique patterns for the basic design I tried expanding my quilting skills. This one has gone to my husband's cousin.
This is the original applique.
The flowers and butterfly are trapunto with metallic outlines, details are done in 40 wt. poly and the background is 100 wt. Kimono silk.
Batting is 100% wool, backing and front 100% cotton.
Your work is exquisitely done. I admire your fine attention to detail.
